GENERAL MEMBER INFORMATION
Here you will find more information about the weekly running of ELAC and other requirements for all members, including parents and athletes.
Parent Help / Weekly Duties:
Parent help to run the summer program is a requirement and without parent help we are unable to run an efficient program for the athletes. Parents are required to complete a minimum number of duties (six) throughout the season in order for their athlete to be eligible to receive presentation medals/trophies during and at the conclusion of the summer season.
There is a weekly signup sheet posted on the Stack Team App each Monday, any unfilled duties can be signed up for on the day, please visit the information table under the large covered area adjacent to the front straight where a duty will be assigned.
If you wish to assist in a more official capacity throughout the season we always welcome parents to step up and do more duties or take up a position with higher responsibility. Please contact any of the ELAC committee members to discuss these opportunities.
Please note: If your child(ren) participate in extra events to represent ELAC at Regional and State events (outside the normal Saturday program), there is an expectation that all families will perform a duty on the day of the event. This is separate from and on top of your six regular centre duties.
Uniforms
Essendon Little Athletics requires athletes to compete in an ELAC uniform each week. We provide 3 options for athletes to select from – a singlet, t-shirt and long crop top. All 3 of these tops can be worn at Centre, Region and State events.
All athletes are also required to wear the Centre black shorts or black shorts of their choice with one of the above tops. As a part of the ELAC uniform, it is all essential athletes wear two patches on their ELAC top. These recognise the support given to Little Athletics by our major sponsors. Both patches are given to the athlete as a part of their registration pack at the beginning of the season. The Coles patch is to be worn in the right hand corner, above the ‘running man’ (LAVic) logo and should be sewn on.
The Commonwealth Bank name patch / tag must be worn in the centre of the ELAC top. The name badge includes vital athlete information and is essential to our recording and results system, and should be pinned on using safety pins (provided).
In the event that a replacement name tag is required, a $2 fee will apply.
At Region and State events black shorts must not have any visible logos including clothing brand names. If you are competing at Region / State level, please talk to the Team Manager / Centre Official for further information regarding competition requirements.

Results
Results from weekly events and competition are recorded and managed by a results management system called ResultsHQ, created by Timing Solutions. ResultsHQ gives 24/7 access to all our Centre competition results. It can be accessed through the link via the TeamApp (see below). To enable accurate recording of results, it is imperative that all athletes remember their name badge each week.
ELAC has recently made a significant infrastructure investment that will allow us to upload results at the completion of each age group event. We are implementing this at the start of the 2024/2025 summer season which will allow parents and athletes to access almost real-time results as they happen.
