WELCOME TO ESSENDON LITTLE ATHLETICS

Essendon Little Athletics Centre provides an opportunity for kids to learn athletics skills, improve their fitness, build confidence, challenge themselves and make new friends. Essendon Little Athletics Centre is a member of Little Athletics Victoria. Approximately 450 local children participate at our centre.

We offer summer track and field programs and winter cross country events for athletes aged from 5 to 16 years. The track and field events are held from October to March each year, with winter cross country held from May to September.

Track and Field competitions are held on Saturday mornings from 8am at the Moonee Valley Athletics Track, Corio Street, Aberfeldie. There are also some Friday twilight meets throughout the season.  

2024 / 2025 SEASON REGISTRATIONS NOW OPEN!

The 2024/2025 Season starts on the 5th October.  Register now and be ready to go. Essendon Little Athletics Centre offers the following memberships:

• 1 athlete = $200
• 2 athlete family = $380
• 3 or more athlete family = $535

• We welcome children of all abilities aged from 5 to 16.
• Our 2024 athletics season will run from October to March
• There is also a cross-country season from May to September.
• We offer weekly coaching programs for all ages (see coaching page)
• We welcome athletes of all abilities, including athletes with a disability.
• We have a focus on athletes achieving personal bests rather than placings. This helps to ensure that athletes of all abilities can enjoy little athletics and remain motivated to continue participating.
• The annual membership fee covers the summer track and field season, cross-country in winter and coaching.
