Essendon Little Athletics Club is proudly run by volunteers.

Every competition morning relies on parents, carers and family members helping with small but important jobs that keep events running safely, fairly and on time.  The more families who lend a hand, the more enjoyable the morning is for everyone.

Why We Have a Duty Roster

Unlike many sports, Little Athletics requires multiple events to run simultaneously.  Each week we need volunteers to help with:

• Recording results
• Measuring jumps and throws
• Timekeeping
• Starting races
• Marshalling athletes
• Equipment setup and pack up
• Age Group support

No experience is necessary.  We'll show you everything you need to know.

How the Duty Roster Works

Families simply select a duty that suits them using our online sign-up system.  You can choose roles that match your availability and confidence level, and our committee are always happy to help if it's your first time.  Most duties are straightforward and allow you to remain close to your child's age group.
