2025/26 Season Registration Information

The 2025/26 season starts at 8am on Saturday 4th October and continues weekly until March 2026, with a break over the Christmas period.

4 year olds can commence in Little Aths (U6 age group) from the start of the track & field season as long as they turn 5 years old on, or prior to, 31st December 2025. Athletes turning 5 years old after 31st December 2025 can commence participation on/after their 5th birthday.

2025/26 registration fees

Essendon Little Athletics Centre’s aim is to make little athletics as affordable as possible. Our fee structure covers all LAVic registration fee costs and centre operation costs. There are no additional weekly fees during the summer and winter seasons – everything is included in the registration fee.

In recognition that little athletics is often a family sport, we also offer significant discounts to families with multiple athletes, with pricing capped at a level for a family with 3 or more athletes.

1 athlete family = $215
2 athlete family = $430
3 athlete family = $585

Note: U9+ athletes wishing to compete in Regional or State competitions will need to register separately and pay an additional fee for those events.

Athletes cannot participate until proof of age has been sighted and confirmed in the system. New members must provide proof of age at the time of registration or email a copy to essendon@lavic.com.au.

 

Age Group Eligibility

Athletes are placed in an age group based on their year and month of birth. They remain in the same age group for the entire season—age groups do not change after birthdays during the season.

*Note: Athletes turning 5 after January 1, 2021, must wait until their birthday to register. These athletes will remain in the U6 age group again for the 2026/27 season.
