Zatopek: 10 Mixed Age Medley Relay
On the evening of Saturday, 10th December 2011, Chiara Dickins (GU9), Xavier McDonald-Tetevano (BU9), Molly Filipovic (GU13) and Conor Fry (BU14) teamed up together with two senior athletes from Athletics Essendon, Nicole Jovanovic and current National 100m & 200m champion and Australian Commonwealth Games representative, Aaron Rouge-Serret, to represent Essendon in the mixed age medley relay during the Zatopek:10 Athletics meet at the new Lakeside Stadium at Albert Park. With Chiara and Xavier running the first two 100m legs, Molly, Conor and Nicole running the 200m legs and Aaron running the final 400m leg, the team ran a fantastic race to come home second behind Sandringham. Congratulations and well done to our four runners on achieving such an impressive result.
