As per last year, there will be two Clinics taking place to cater for both Metropolitan and Regional athletes.
The first Clinic will be held in Bendigo on Tuesday 21st September with the second clinic to held in Doncaster on Thursday 23rd September.
These Clinics are designed to provide athletes with an opportunity to gain some valuable advice on performing the skills correctly.
The Clinics are split into the U7-U8 age groups, who's focus is on fundamental skill development and the U9-U10 age groups focussing on athletic skill development.
There will be 6 rotations of 30 minutes covering the fundamental athletic events.
These Clinics are a great success each year and fill fast, so please advertise at your Centre and to your members to give them the best opportunity to take part.
We are pleased to advise that the 2010-2011 JDS applications are now open . However there is a major change this year with the registration process.
All registrations will be through the clubs online system. There are two methods of payment, either by credit card or manually by cheque, however both methods
still require the applicants to send in their proof of qualifying performances. This year the Centre is not required to sign any forms or check any performances, this will be done by me once the registration has been submitted online.
The website has a new tab called Education & Training, where all of the courses, clinics, seminars and information for Coaches, Athletes and Officials will live. Additionally JDS appears on the latest news section on the homepage and shortly there will be a button on the left hand side of the homepage for quick access to the registration portal.
There will be an A3 poster promoting JDS that all Centres will receive at the pickup of the registration packs.
Last season JDS was a huge success, with many athletes benefitting from the experiences learnt during JDS sessions. We believe this can be achieved again this season, however your assistance in promoting JDS is vital in ensuring our athletes have these great opportunities.
