NMR Region Track & Field

It’s Region Track & Field time again and entries are closing shortly (Tuesday 28th 11:59pm)

Don’t miss your chance to compete at this great event, representing Essendon Little Aths against the other centres in our region.

As long as you have competed at 4 centre competitions and are U9-U16 you can register and we want to see as many of you as we can.

So get online, pick up to 4 events and we’ll see you in the Red and Black at Keilor on the weekend of Feb 15-16.

NMR Region Relays

Fantastic day at the NMR Region Relay Carnival, the whole team did us all so proud.

Thanks to Heather and Travis for all their work as Team Managers and all the parents who looked after each age group. The day could only be described as organised chaos, that’s relays for you!

The Centre finished with 10 Gold, 10 Silver and 9 Bronze Medals, well done to all of the teams that took part.

Centre Update

01-11-2019

Plenty going on over the first 4 weeks of competition after a mix of different weather including a very tough wind last week.

• Relay training is in full swing on Monday and Wednesday evenings with more than 80 athletes expected to represent the Centre at Diamond Valley on November 23rd. 
• The OnTrack program has begun for our young athletes on Monday evenings from 5:00-5:45pm with our great coach Paul Bray, get down and learn some new skills!

Looks like it might be a bit wet this weekend so please keep an eye out on TeamApp and the Social media platforms on Saturday morning to see if competition will go ahead.  

Week 1 in the books

For the first morning of the season we were greeted with perfect conditions and a brilliant turnout.

As we enter season 2019/20 things are looking terrific, with so many returning athletes, plenty of new ones and a heap giving it a go for the first time. There was so much fun to be had by all and the parent involvement was first class, we are all very lucky!  

Results are currently in the process of being uploaded to ResultsHQ so get on and take a look. This does take some time, particularly when it comes to the field events so please be patient. 

Next Saturday will be program 2, check the Events Calendar for all the details.

For those not yet registered there is still plenty of time, jump on the Link. If you still aren’t sure, we’d love to see you come down and see what it’s all about.

Season 2019/20 Programs

The new program is offical for the coming season, with notable changes including:

• • • The replacement for the U6 OnTrack Program with additional events
• Change in Hurdles for U11 from 60m to 80m

All parents and athletes are requested to arrive 15 minutes before the
scheduled starting time so that the Program can commence on time.

Our new summer season will start on Saturday October 5th, beginning at 8am 

The full calendar will be shared shortly which will include changes to the U6 OnTrack Program for the coming season. Please use the links below and either Renew or Join as a new member.

An exciting addition to the new season will be the introduction of Centre shorts, that will be worn during both Centre competition and Region & State events. These are LaVic approved so no more need for black tape to cover those brand symbols, many families have encountered over the years.

Registration which has gone from $145 to $155 for Athlete 1 & 2 and $135 to $145 for Child 3 & 4, any subsequent athletes will be free.  The increase in fees come partly due to an increase in fee from LaVic and to also partly fund the new shorts.
